| So, Saturday I decided I was going to look for a new handbag. I looked around online and I found one I liked in Nordstrom. The price was $195 and I didn't really want to spend that much given the fact that Xmas is coming up and I want to get a car, so I should only buy what I can afford. But I really liked this bag. So I looked around online, saw it for $198 in Zappos.com and finally settled on browsing around bluefly (not for this bag, but in general) and I happened to see that handbag there for $138! I was estatic. So I thought it over and decided not to buy it because I was still "iffy" on whether I really NEEEDED a handbag right now. Sunday morning, checking my email I decided to just "look" at the bag again because I was still thinking about it and when I went to bluefly there was a special "Steal-a-day" promo just for Sunday. 20% off all handbags. I thought WOW. So I looked up the bag again and saw the price reduced to $110! Then I thought WOW OH WOW. I thought, "This is a sign" and I had to buy it! So I'm checking out and going through the whole billing process and it asked if I had any promo codes. I was kind of bummed there werent any promo codes on the site I could use, especially since it said promo codes couldn't be used in conjuction with other special promotions or sales on the site. The final page on the checkout process again, had a box for promo codes just before submitting the purchase and for some reason I thought, "what the hell, let me see if I can find a promo code for bluefly". 1 minute later, from naughtycodes.com (AWESOME SITE) I snagged a promo code for first time bluefly.com customers - $15 off your first order! So I thought, I'd try it to see if it worked, and it worked! WOWSERS! I just purchased a $195 bag for $95! I couldn't believe how happy and excited I was. I felt like it was my lucky day.
Later that day I went out to Union Square and Soho to go shopping and I realized I needed a need hairdryer, since I'd been without one for months since mine broke and I just happened to walk buy Rickys that had a big sign that said 20% off all hair appliances. I found one I liked, but didn't like the price. ($99). I called my cousin at and asked her if she could check out the prices for the hair dryer online, and it was selling for $149 and I thought, hm, so it's cheaper here. But still $99 is a lot in general but with 20% off that's 80 dollars for a $150 Tourmaline hair dryer. So I bought it! I figured it's going to last me for years, since the one that broke was in my possession for over 10 years! I was really excited when I got home because at night I wanted to wash my hair just to test out my new dryer. And that tourmaline hair dryer is amazing. It cut my drying time in half and my hair was so much smoother then with a regular dryer.
I love finding awesome deals :)

| WOW - I am an awesome bargain shopper today!! | | |
| Not having a car sucks. As much as everyone says that you don't need one here it's a real plus to have. Walking home today with all of the Thanksgiving groceries was a major pain. It took 3 of us to carry everything home. Last weekend when I had to go up to Chappaqua (an hour north of here) to my cousin's house for a family gathering my aunt had to drive out of her way here to pick me up. Very nice of her, but sucked that she had to do it in the first place. I can't go to BJs anymore and get my $5 month supply of Poland Spring.
So, I want a car again. But I need someone to take me to the dealerships cause I can't get there. Ha!
Ah well, so I've got to do everything by foot for a while. No biggie, at least I'm walking more, not that I don't walk all the time now with the dog.
Winston is soooo cute :) He really is like a little boy. He's a really funny puppy. When he has to "go" he sits by the door. If he doesnt get a response or if I don't notice him he picks up one of his soft toys and holds it in his mouth and paces up and down the apartment with it (like a security blanket) and looks at me with these adorable puppy eyes, and if he's still waiting to be taken out, he starts to whimper just a little bit. It's the most adorable thing ever!
He loves bully sticks (which are basically tried bull penises...haha)
when I bring one home for him he goes CRAZY! When I finally give it to him he grabs it and runs away as far as possible from me so he can go crazy chewing on his bully stick by himself. He will carry it around with him all day and will go to town on the stick.
Another thing he loves is frisbrees. He also goes insane when I take out his frisbee! Someday i want to teach him cool tricks while catching the frisbee.
I like frisbees too but I can't do any cool tricks! So the weather has finally cooled down here. For a while, it was pretty warm for this time of year and I was starting to get worried this would be a warm winter with no snow. And I don't like it when theres no snow because that means snowboarding won't be much fun. But this year with the free flights I get, maybe I'll actually get to head up to Burlington this season, Colorado, or Salt Lake City.
Oh and about my last comment about God: no it's not a new thing. But I was having a bad day and I just felt like I had to say that. I know, it came out of nowhere. haha. | | |
